500DAY ("we") is a technology platform that connects people within the same local community in the United States. The application has two separate modules with different rules: Jobs, where 500DAY does process the payment and holds it until the job is completed, and Marketplace, where 500DAY does not take part in any payment and acts only as a listing board between private individuals. By using the app you accept these terms. You must be 18 years or older.
Email address, name, city, profile photo and cover photo, listings, messages you send inside the app, ratings received, and technical device data needed to operate and protect the service. We do not ask for or store your phone number. We do not store full card numbers or bank accounts.
To create and manage your account, show your listings to nearby users, allow communication between the parties, process payments in the Jobs module, prevent fraud, enforce these rules and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers necessary to operate: Stripe (payments), our database and hosting provider, and the push notification service. Also when the law requires it or to protect rights, safety or to prevent a crime.
You can turn each type of alert on or off from Profile → Notifications. Push notifications are sent to the device you have authorized and you can revoke them from your system settings.
We use the city in your profile and a search radius that you choose. We do not track your location in the background and we do not store your movements.
We apply reasonable technical measures (encryption in transit, per-user access control). No internet transmission is 100% secure. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you by email and inside the app without undue delay, in accordance with the applicable law of the relevant state.
500DAY is not directed to people under 18 years of age and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we detect a minor's account, we will delete it.
The name "500DAY", the logo, the design and the code of the application are property of 500DAY. The content you post (photos, texts) remains yours, but you grant us a limited, non-exclusive and royalty-free license to display it inside the application while the listing is active. You may not copy, mass-extract (scrape) or resell the content of the platform.
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account we immediately erase all your visible content. We keep only what the law requires us to keep: tax and payment records required by Stripe and U.S. law (up to 7 years) and the anonymized record described in section 11.
You can access, correct or delete your data. You can perform the deletion yourself from Profile → Delete my account, or by writing to us at 500dayappcontact@gmail.com.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you do: • Your profile, your photos, your listings, your messages and your ratings are erased immediately. • You will not be able to delete the account if you have an active job, held funds or an open dispute. You must resolve or close those situations first; this exists so that no money gets stuck. • If your account was sanctioned with 3 strikes, we keep an irreversible cryptographic fingerprint (hash) of your email address —never the email in readable text— with the sole purpose of preventing a blocked user from creating another account and evading the sanction. This fingerprint cannot identify or contact you, and is not shared with anyone.
We use local storage to keep your session and your language preferences. We do not use third-party tracking-based advertising.
500DAY is a technology intermediary. We do not guarantee the quality, legality or truthfulness of the listings nor the conduct of the users. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid to 500DAY in the specific transaction that gave rise to the claim.
We may update this document. Important changes will be announced inside the app or by email.

Unlike the Marketplace, in Jobs the application charges, holds and releases the money through Stripe. This module is not a "listing board": it is a payment service with escrow.
• The client pays $537.84, which is held (not delivered immediately). • If the job is completed, the worker receives $500.00. • If a refund applies, the client receives $520.00. • The $17.84 difference corresponds to Stripe's processing fee and is not refundable under any circumstance, because Stripe keeps it at the moment of the charge. This is disclosed to you before you pay.
When the job ends, both parties confirm inside the chat. There are automatic deadlines: if a party does not respond within the time shown on screen, the system resolves automatically according to the rules displayed at that moment, and unresolved disputes are closed in favor of the client at 72 hours.
Disputes are handled inside the app. 500DAY applies the automatic rules described above; we are not a court and we do not mediate conflicts outside that framework. If your bank rejects or delays a refund already issued, you must contact your bank.
To receive your money you need to complete Stripe verification (Stripe Connect). You can be hired before completing it, but the money will remain held until you finish it.
Users are independent contractors between themselves. 500DAY is not an employer, does not withhold taxes and does not supervise the work. Each person is responsible for their own tax obligations.
It is prohibited to request payments outside the app, share phone numbers to evade the system, or post illegal jobs. Non-compliance may result in loss of access.
